About Snellville Auto Center
Snellville Auto Center, our family business, started well before we opened the doors in 1987. As a young man, our father, Dean started working at a filling station back when they had full service. Customer service is an art that he learned about and the importance of building relationships. He enjoyed conversing with his customers, learning about them and earning their trust. Over time he fell in love with cars and a desire to help those with car trouble. That style of customer service from a generation before him served him well. It became part of his nature.
As an adult he worked and eventually ran a large corporate automotive repair center. He saw the benefits of a corporate structure and valuable offerings like a good warranty. He also felt limited by the corporate requirements. It was hard to create relationships with his customers and even more difficult to keep staff. He felt in his core that there was a better path, and he knew where it began. In 1987, Dean planted his flag with a lot of faith and opened Snellville Auto Center.
Utilizing the experience and knowledge he had gained over the years, Dean blazed his path. With a wife and 3 young kids, he knew that to succeed he needed to lean on his core beliefs.
His mission was to:
- Combine “Old Fashioned” customer service and superior quality auto repair.
- Build and Nurture relationships with customers.
- Surround himself with like-minded individuals, build a team and support them.
With the foundation built well and a lot of sweat equity the business thrived. Our customers recognized the difference in being a priority instead of a dollar sign. In two years, we were able to open our second facility, Centerville Auto Center. As his Children we were able to “help” our dad where we were thirsty to soak up any skills we could. We grew up seeing how taking care of people, whether they are your team or your customers, is the key to success. After High School Brent and Brian went on to earn business degrees and were excited to join the family business.
As time went on, we decided to expand our customer base again. We branched outside of Gwinnett for the first time after seeing and opportunity in Walton County next door. In 2004 we opened our third location, Loganville Auto Center. Over the years we have been very fortunate and blessed with amazing people, customers, and employees. Sticking to our core values and fundamental beliefs has kept us successful all these years. Good “old fashioned” customer service doesn’t go out of style!
After decades of dedication and hard work, Dean decided to retire. Brent and Brian excitedly purchased both Snellville Auto Center and Loganville Auto Center, eager to carry on the Legacy! After college, our sister Angela also joined the family business. Learning from our 30+ year bookkeeper who is also like family, Angela now handles all of LAC’s bookkeeping and back-office tasks. She also keeps everyone in line, which is a full-time job. It is a true blessing to have our whole family working together.
We are equally blessed to have the best team in the business! Our Job is to help you maintain and repair your vehicle, but we aim to achieve much more than that. We set out every day with a consistent goal.
