We went to Snellville Auto for a pre-purchased used car inspection on a 3 year old car with very low miles, which we thought did not need one. After RW had a look at it and gave us the breakdown, it was $50 well spent for an hour of his time. He pointed out a tear on the tire, various cosmetic fixes that were not visible in sunlight and also of and unusual rear brake wear. RW was extremely knowledgeable about cars and extremely friendly. He answered all my questions as well. With mechanics like RW, who analyze your vehicle critically while educating, you feel like you can separate the fear and risk of a car breakdown. A car will have problems; that is a given. But with honest mechanics like these guys, you need not fear getting ripped off. And if you actually USE the education they provide, you can run your car much longer. They do not do a OBD scan of the status codes as part of their $50 pre-purchase inspection but I have my own scanner so that was not an issue for me. In the end, we went back to the used car dealer with their report and asked them to give us new tires, change the rear brakes and fix the various paint job errors (some could be fixed by detailing but not all). But either way, having RW give his OK on the rest of the car was great peace of mind.
